Three certificates issued by the Board of Lake Underwriters, naming Charles Reeves to their list of approved sail vessel masters, 1860- 1963; one pilot's certificate issued to John Christian, second class pilot on the Niagara River, certified by Charles Reeves, inspector for the District of Buffalo, 25 July 1858. Also, an invitation to a trip on the newly launched Great Lakes steamships Detroit and Milwaukee, 9 Aug. 1859.
